A question that I get asked a lot is how I drink so much water and if there are there any benefits from doing so! On most days I consume between 169-220 oz of water depending on how busy I am, if I am traveling, and how I am feeling that day. I try to drink as much water as possible because I feel and look better when I do so. Some of the benefits are clearer skin, mental clarity, and weight loss. Studies have shown that drinking water first thing in the morning helps boost your metabolism! When you’re drinking a lot of water it helps flush out any toxins which aids in weight loss, and helps prevent UTIs and yeast infections. Staying hydrated also acts as an appetite suppressant until you are actually hungry.
Some easy ways to consume more water is drinking when you first wake up and before you go to bed. I always keep water bottles (16.9 oz) by my bed and chug 2 of them when I first wake up and 3-4 before I go to sleep. With each meal I have at least 1 bottle and drink around 50 oz when I go to the gym.
If drinking 200 oz is too much for you, try keeping water by your bed to have first thing in the morning and at night. Gradually increase the amount you drink with each meal and when you work out. You will feel healthier and be happy with the results!
